NFL star locks himself in a parked car to reveal what it’s like for dogs. In just minutes, a vehicle in the summer can reach well over 110 degrees, even with the windows cracked and in the shade. Imagine how our beloved pets feel like when they left alone in a car under the sun...It might seem like our loved pet might be fine, just for a couple minutes, but as you will see demonstrated in this video, the temperature escalates very quickly.
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, if it is 80 degrees outside, within 30 minutes the inside of the car will be up to 114 degrees. In as little as 10 minutes, the car will be over 100 degrees. Leaving the car in the shade is not enough either, because the shade moves with the sun and provides inadequate protection.
Every year, dogs suffer and die when their guardians make the mistake of leaving them in a parked car—even for “just a minute”—while they run an errand.
Let's enjoy this summer and be very careful with our pets! None deserves to suffer like this!
