His Comforter Belongs At The Same Species That Deprived Him Of His Parents!

What an irony!

Losing your parents is a critical point in everyone's life! This little fellow faced this tragic moment and he has been comforted by a ranger at the Virunga National Park in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Patrick Karabaranga shown in the photo sitting close to an orphaned mountain gorilla which has lost his parents, as they were killed by poachers or as a result of illegal attempts by traffickers to smuggle them out of the park.

This is not the first incident as other three orphans were brought at the park gorilla sanctuary after their parents were killed.

This affectionate moment shows that even wild animals have feelings and they accept a loving and comfort touch by a human - who on the other hand is the source of its loss and comfort at the same time!

With more than 200 mountain gorillas, Virunga National Park accounts for about a quarter of the world's mountain gorilla population.

It is quite reassuring to see that there are people who are helping, comforting and devoting their lives to these animals!
