In Front Of His Children Insults A Child With Special Needs, What Happens Next...Catharsis!

In ancient Greece Tragedies according to Aristotle had a triptych Hubris - Nemesis - Catharsis, meaning that first the protagonist committed an assault, then it came the punishment and afterwards the audience was cleared from the bad emotions by catharsis! This video reminds me of this!

The story goes like this.

One day, Milo, a five-year-old boy with Down syndrome, went to Laurenzo’s, a restaurant in Houston, TX.

The family seated next to Milo started complaining about the sounds the little boy was making and about having to sit beside him. After a few minutes, a waiter named Michael Garcia moved the agitated family to another table. However, the family still wasn’t satisfied: “Special needs children need to be special somewhere else,” the father reportedly said.

But then, the waiter decided to take a stand. Asking to be moved was one thing, but attacking the child’s right to be there didn’t sit right with Garcia. “My personal feelings took over,” he said, and he responded to the father, “Sir, I won’t be able to serve you.” The family then walked out of the restaurant in a huff.

Michael was hailed as a hero, and was quickly praised for his compassion and courage. Milo’s mom Kim said,”Yay for people like Michael … who not only love Milo for who he is — a customer and little boy with Down syndrome — but stand up for him no matter what.”

Wow. Good people do exist. Cheers to Michael Garcia for standing up for what he believes is right and sticking up for young Milo!

I think that was a modern kinda short proof of that triptych as that man paid for his insult and all of us felt the relieved and proud of Michael!
