The first thought that pops into your head when you think of motorcycle gangs might not be a good one...probably because you're basing your information on stereotypes.
They call themselves B.A.C.A — Bikers Against Child Abuse — and they’re a 3,000-member organization dedicated to protecting children.
Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) is a non-profit organization that works to create a safer environment for abused children and their families.
These Bikers deserve all the support we can give them. Do wish they could be everywhere!
Thankfully they were there for Karen and her daughter...Here is their story!
For years, Karen and her young daughter were abused by her husband. Sick of living in fear, Karen found help from an unlikely source — 15 guardian angels united with the motto, “No child deserves to live in fear.” Now, Karen and her daughter are safe with 24/7 support and protection.
In the touching video below one of the BACA members says, “If a child has problems sleeping or afraid to get on the bus or go to school, we’re there.” That’s right — these rough-and-tough bikers will pick a child up from the bus and even camp out in front of his or her home until the child feels safe. Many of the bikers experienced abuse in their own lives, so they know firsthand the impact of abuse.
It’s amazing to see an organization that completely disproves stereotypes, and teaches us never to judge a book by its cover.
No words can describe how I felt when I saw this, as a parent I cannot even think of a child in pain or in tears...I feel so grateful for such kind hearted souls who give their time to help!
BACA, so wonderful...we need more of these awesome organizations!
