The terrier mix pup, who was found on the side of the road, was in a Los Angeles high-kill shelter where quick adoption and appearance matter.

When he arrived at the shelter earlier this year, he was covered in dirt and had painful matted hair.

Fortunately for Charlie, the folks at Hollywood Grooming were there to step in and make him shine.

Charlie was a homeless dog who is homeless no more, and in fact, is alive today — all thanks to an amazing doggie makeover, which you can see in this heartwarming video, depicting Charlie’s inspiring transformation from scruffy stray, to sharp looking, lovable pet in just over two minutes, thanks to time lapse photography.

Look how proud he is at the end...Saving a life is a blessing! Everyone deserves a second chance so does Charlie! Happy endings are my favorite and this story ended the best way! I hope this will be a forever home for Charlie and more dogs like him have the same fate!
