A Simple Question That Will Make You Cry…So Emotionally Touching!

We all know that life is so short and there is no time to leave important words unsaid!

Not everyone finds expressing their feelings easy or having it come naturally. While the stereotype is that men have the hardest time expressing their emotions, everyone at one time or another in their life may find it difficult to say how they feel.

Our love and relationship with our dads is special. It’s different from the relationship we have with our moms, siblings, friends or lovers even though we love them all equally. Dads are basically the real superheroes! They are always there to guide you when you are in trouble and they are always around to protect you.

Writing and filmmaking company Echo Storytelling Agency created the #TellThemNow campaign that seeks to open communication between dads and their children, no matter how old the children are. Fathers have, for a long time, been socialized to remain emotionally distant from their kids, and it usually causes more harm than good in families. This project aims to change that.

To make sure that father-child relationships could be the strongest possible bonds, the people at Echo had ten dads and their children participate in this emotionally touching short film.

The children, who range in age from elementary students to grown adults, start first and ask their fathers, “Dad, what about me makes you proud?”

The responses get very emotional, as the dad’s open up to their kids.

Next, the kids reveal why they’re grateful for their dads.

Enjoy...and make sure you have some tissues ready!

Assure your child over and over that everyone, including yourself, has big feelings, and there are no feelings too big—or too little—to talk about.

With Father’s Day coming up…this video will definitely have you wanting to visit/call your parents immediately!

If you’re lucky enough to have your parents in your life…tell them now.
