A Breathtaking Aerial View Of One Of The World's Most Beautiful Landscapes! Speechless!

Teton Gravity Research – the film crew behind Jeremy Jones’ Deeper/Further/Higher trilogy – have just dropped this beautiful edit of the Himalayas.

There are times when it's best to just sit back and enjoy the awe-inspiring beauty of Earth, our little rock in a corner of the universe. Here's a good opportunity to do that courtesy of of Teton Gravity Research, who bring you an aerial tour of the Himalayas and the sprawling green expanses that surround them.

Beginning in the noisy capital of Kathmandu, drifting through the foothills and up to the fabled ‘ roof of the world’, the rad images were taken from a heli using the GSS C520 system (“the most advanced gyro-stabilized camera system in the world”). It’s a journey that climbs in altitude from 4,600 ft. up to 24,000 ft (on the fringe of the fabled ‘death zone’) at which point the team had to use supplemental oxygen.

These are some of the most stable, crisp, clear aerial shots of these mountains ever released, which include Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse.

You might just be reminded, as you glide along over snowy peaks and waterfalls cascading over sheer cliffs, that we have a lot to be thankful for–and to protect.
