Purging The Ignorant...Thankfully The Majority Has Sensitivity!

Thought the world often seems cruel and few seem to understand us, certain events lead us to have restored faith in humanity's ability to act in a humane manner. Having an autistic child does not mean one is to be locked up at home, barely leaving the nest to catch a breath of air and hiding those with autism as if they were lepers with a contagious disease. Too often, we keep to ourselves, preferring to shy away from society and the cruel stares/comments we are sure to receive.

In this social experiment, we get to see how people react when an angry restaurant customer starts berating an autistic child and his family. The angry exchange starts after the autistic boy starts going around the restaurant and begins picking at a stranger's food. This quickly angers one man, who lashes at the child and demands the family leave, much to the shock of other patrons. But little do they know that the child, his family, and the angry man who goes off on them are all actors.

The video is a segment from a TV show called What Would You Do? that creates different social situations to see how the average person reacts to injustice.
And if he cannot tie his shoes, has read 7,000 books and remember 95% of these. He is the man who inspired the film "Rain Man" person who has been studied even by NASA! He is a man with incredible photographic mind. The brain of Kim Peek was injured at birth. But it has perfect photographic memory and is known as the "great polymath." Today, in an original investigation, NASA scientists are trying to understand why the genius of this man from Utah continues to improve while he grows older. In case you forgot, the Kim Peek was the inspiration behind the movie "Rain Man" with Dustin Hoffman, film won the Academy Award in 1988. He was autistic!

No great effort is required, nor to overcome the idea of "bias." The only thing that suffices is to "recognize" with care, in the face of these children, our own, to find a world that resembles. Because, in fact, nothing divides us, but a simple mirror, the mean that we think our seemingly "singles" and that, through this again, it finds us. And this difference is created by us, insisting on seeing everything through the pretentious "progressive" thinking of a lifestyle poor of humanism. So poor, that the ideology premises the rejection by the society of such children.
