Stunning And Definitely Worth Seeing It! Absolutely Awesome!

Indian Ocean hosts some of the most heavenly Islands of Earth...One of them is definitely Mauritius! Besides the wonderful landscape, the golden sand, the picturesque beaches there is something unique that it can only be seen from above!
The remote island in the Indian Ocean, 2,000 km (1,200 mi) away from Africa, is a very attractive tourist destination. The underwater waterfall, located on the southwestern shore, might serve as a signature of Mauritius. It isn’t an actual waterfall, but an optical illusion: the sediment of sand and silt create this dramatic site. The reason for this is that the island is relatively new and a formation of it is still present, causing an underwater slope.

When viewed from above, a runoff of sand and silt deposits creates the impression of an ‘underwater waterfall’. Satellite views (as seen in the Google Maps creenshots below) are equally dramatic, as an underwater vortex seemingly appears off the coast of this tropical paradise.
Like a painting created by Mother Nature herself, just off Mauritius’s coast the amazing waterfall illusion captivates people from all over the world!
From the views all around this dreamscape island the waters look cool, but helicopter rides and aerial shots provide the most visually stimulating appeal. To see for yourself, check out these stunning images of the waterfall illusion just off Mauritius Island.

It’s a beautiful sight that I’d love to take in with my own eyes, someday, but what’s actually going on is in many ways far more beautiful than a (physically impossible) waterfall under the ocean! It’s the natural world simply doing what it does, and we’re fortunate enough to get to enjoy it!
