Russian photographer and mother of two boys Elena Shumilova captures heartwarming images of her sons interacting with various animals on their farm, including dogs, rabbits, cats, and ducklings. She manages to transport the viewer into a fairy tale-like world with her photos of these little guys and their furry, feathered, and fluffy companions in the beautiful, rural landscape.
The presence of the two innocent, little boys makes the beautifully cinematic landscapes all the more enchanting. Whether the image is out on a dirt road, in a wintry forest, a lush field, or just indoors, Shumilova catches the light perfectly as it highlights each of the boys. She says, "When shooting I prefer to use natural light – both inside and outside. I love all sorts of light conditions – street lights, candle light, fog, smoke, rain and snow – everything that gives visual and emotional depth to the image."
