Recently, photographer Angela Kelly and her 7-year-old son took advantage of a cold spell in Washington and went outside with some homemade bubble solution. As they blew bubbles, they soon discovered that at 16 degrees Fahrenheit (-9 Celsius) the tiny bubbles froze in the air and fell to the ground, shattering, but the larger bubbles would land on the ground whole and then freeze, creating extraordinary, ephemeral sculptures…
